Activities & Projects of the
Wexford Genealogy Organization
- We periodically hold seminars and classes in the areas of:
1. Beginning genealogy.
2. Research techniques.
3. Record availability and scanning and/or preserving documents and old photographs.
- Indexing and copying official records to help preserve and prevent wear and tear on original records.
- Transcribing and photographing cemetery stones in Wexford County Cemeteries.
- Copying, transcribing or collecting scrapbooks and other unofficial records, including newspaper clippings, funeral cards, family trees, written records in family bibles and anything else that pertains to genealogical research or information.
- Various activities, such as cemetery walks, museum tours, and special speakers to name a few.
- Participation in local events.
- Compiling and printing information on cemeteries and other genealogical topics for sale to the public.
